In a research meeting a few years ago a colleague of mine mentioned this concept called neural grooving, describing the way our nervous system continually adapts its structure to produce desired behaviours in the most efficient manner (aka neuroplasticity, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neuroplasticity).
At the time, I thought it would be a great name for a funk band. Probably for the best, but nobody took me up on my offer to start one. Now it's the web space I'll transcribe my curious monkey thoughts to type and photos.
